Walker's Cottage is set in the Heart of England tourist area. It is equidistant from Lincoln, Grantham, Sleaford and Newark, providing easy access to all of them in approximately 15 minutes by car.

Welbourn is located within easy walking distance of the roman "Ermine Road" and in the middle of some of the most extensive Knights Templar lands in England, complete with a preceptory which is open to explore. It is excellent walking and cycling country, and details of local routes are made available in the cottage itself.

There are many antique fairs within the vicinity - Swinderby and Newark hosting two of the biggest such fairs in the country. Horncastle, roughly 30 minutes away, is also held to be one of the best towns for antique collectors. The layout of the cottage makes it particularly suitable for those having an "antiquing break" as there is plenty of room to store purchases!
